PC related editing but NOT GoPro Studio

Android + gopro

Hello guys..

I seen some threads on ipad with regards to importing gopro files, viewing gopro files, editing gopro files( iMovie) and creating timelapse files.

Why aint there a thread on the fast growing android market!! :) and we also have a 'RemoteGo app that can do live stream ( till the official gopro app comes out on android)

I got an nexus 7 (16G), that imo currently can be fairly lacking on the hhd front. However, there are many more android tablet coming out (NEXUS 10, Nexus 7(32G), etc)

I can get my nexus to read a thumbdrive/sdcard/portablehhd with an OTG cable. - using an app call 'stick mount' (need root access)
I can get it to import to my android tablet - using ASTRO Filemanager ( i am sure there are many others app)
i can get it to play the gopro files - using Mplayer/Vplayer

I am looking to see any program that i can do the following
1) edit the video ala iMovie
2) do time lapse

i can see many timelapse/video editing apps in the play store.. and will attemp to try them out as soon as i can. Anyone has some success in using any app already? i hope to here more ...

Hopefully the mod will expand the "Editing and Software - Tips" portion to include android. As the gopro is a really on the move kind of a camera. i am sure a lot of people are interested in doing on the move editing.
Maybe in the following titles
- PC
- iOS
- Android

Simple answer is no. I can't see to find anything Android that is anything like iMovie. I'm all Android but am very very tempted to get an iPad now.

I have an editing application on my Acer tablet, but it seems to only want to edit video that is shot from the tablet camera even though the codecs are exactly the same and bit rate is not that much different from a GoPro camera. Not sure why we don't have a decent video editor on these devices, any of the 4 core processors should have plenty of power to handle the task.
Updated with version 1.

GoPro Android App
Here is an app for Android users to get the Goro WiFi to function on their cell phones. Not perfect, but better than nothing.

They also have a support page on FB
