I have tried every thing.........well almost.
I have a Windows Vista computer.
Windows movie maker 6.0
I can transfer the SD card movie (slot in the computer for the SD) to Windows Media Player and the whole movie plays and works great.....video and audio.
When I move it to Windows Movie Maker I cannot get audio. In the timeline, I can edit video but there is no audio "ripple line" in the timeline and no audio. Replaing in WMM in unedited or video edited, there is no audio.
I mailed GoPro Support and they suggested that "download Windows Vista Service Pack 1 and that should fix the sound and probably a few other things too". They also state that "95% of Vista users with our cameras have sucessfully resolved the sound, or lack of it , in Vista" "The file format from HERO cameras is motion-jpeg AVI"
Downloading SPack 1 and still cant get audio. So I am one of the 5% i guess. I also downloaded a program called Video Lan which supposedly makes things work. Still no audio.
I have friends who have Go Pro's and have Windows XP and everything works fine. But I cant find anyone with Vista for a comparison. someone suggested a progrm called Pinnacle.....but I hate to buy it and that one not work also.....
Any thoughts on what I might do to get sound? .....
