HD Hero Casing Buttons

Postby Richard Sloman » Tue Oct 21, 2014 5:38 pm

I have just noticed that the buttons on the casing no longer spring back and it seems the rubber seals have perished. (It doesnt seem to be leaking but the seals just feel dry) Is there a replacement for these, can the seals be lubricated with anything or is it a new casing?

Tribolube or food grade silicone lubricant will both work to eliminate friction but will not resolve water tightness issues if the seals are too far gone. New housings are only $15 and may be a better long term solution.
