Hi from Switronix! We offer GoPro Power Solutions!

Postby Switronix » Fri Jun 20, 2014 1:32 am

Hi! We're Switronix and have recently released a line of power solutions for the GoPro camers!

The new DV-GP3 GoPro Power adapters redefine power for these small POV cameras. The adapters lock into the battery receptacle on the back of the camera, doing away with the need to rely on the USB connection, which can come out easily in active situations. Providing a reliable and secure power connection is essential when using the GoPro camera, since the cameras are put in precarious and high impact settings.

Limitations of GoPro without Switronix GoPro Power Solutions:

- Power
-battery lasts less than one hour
-Heat
-over extended periods of time camera can
-overheat and shut down

WITH Switronix GoPro Power Solutions:

-Created battery emulator cable with 50ft. length of cable
-Locks-into battery compartment vs. mini-USB which is unreliable
-Creates NO ADDITIONAL HEAT, like batteries would when discharging
-Allows the use of GoPro front submersible housing

We offer the adapter with power regulation and the ability to power from cigarette, powertap and an XT60 "Y" connection, widely used amongst Quad, Hex and Octocopters. Along with the mobile power options, we are offering a 10ft. USB extension which can be used with OEM GoPro Wall and Auto charging adapters.

These products have an MSRP range of $30-45US.

welcome...

I like the battery eliminators you have, and have 2 of them sitting in my shopping cart at B&H - just ready to place my order. Will definitely make it easier to use the GoPro's in the car...

I'm sure you'll sell many of them :)

Any plans of putting out a USB version with short cable? It would seem that most people using USB will be plugging into a portable USB power pack mounted next to the camera and will have to find a way to deal with 10 feet of cable. Any chance of a model with a 2' cable and an 8' extension? That would cover pretty much every user.

We don't have plans of producing that length for the masses but we can certainly custom make for a user in need. Just contact [email protected] to start that conversation.

Do you plan on offering a solution that will actually work if someone has the LCD backpak attached to the camera?. Because in that case you can only really charge it from USB.

Switronix person,

Do you offer a battery eliminator that has bare wires at the end? Ie: without the usb/cig plug? What lengths do they come in? Thanks

Why wouldn't you just cut off the USB? I imagine that if they shipped one without a UCB plug, it'd cost you about 0.03c cheaper than normal.
Least if you buy a regular one and cut 2ft off you can make something else with that USB end.
