GoPro Hero 4 Black and iMovie (will it take 4k)

Postby nicemarmot » Fri Oct 24, 2014 7:22 am

I've done quite a bit of searching and keep finding stories and posts about iMovie not being able to produce full resolution/video quality of GoPro videos? Something to do with mp4? Is this old information? Does the newest version of iMovie do a good job of preserving the image quality from the camera? Should I move to FCP? Also, I hope to shoot small court sporting events (volleyball, basketball) with this camera , what mode do you recommend from both down on the floor looking down the court and up in the stands capturing the whole court? Thanks!
