Still Photo from Video

Postby Kenny J » Sun Jan 06, 2013 1:39 am

I have a GoPro2 and used it to film video of my kids skiing. Is there any way to take a single still photo shot from the video for use on a photo frame?

Thanks

Use vlc player, go to video menu and select snapshot when you've paused it.

I have download vlc to my mac and copied a video. The vlc program will not play the mp4 video. I have tried to change the extension to mpg or mpeg but it still does work. Any thoughts?

Thanks

You can do it in GoPro Studio too.
In Step 2 pause playback, click on File > Export > Still Image ,choose the size you want and where to send it and then Save it.
