Hi all,
would be great if someone can post an update as the hero4 black supports 4k and 1080p80.
any ideas how to include that to the script?

Thank you for this thread btw and all the information. I can see my footage but it has interruptions of gray and green in the beginning. I am really hoping I can save this material.

tchiers, I've downloaded your awesome pearl tool (fix_header_v3a.pl), and we're so close to having this fixed. However, the footage we're trying to fix was shot not he Hero Black - at 1440p 80fps. Is there a new version of this script that would include that format?

I'm new to re-wrapping QT files using Terminal, so I might not have a great grasp on this, so please feel free to let me know if I'm missing something.

We traveled all the way to Africa and back before noticing that some of the clips were corrupt, and we have to find a way to recover them.

Thanks so much.

Hi
thanks for this tip. i got my video repaired. i did it with a mac but its possible but you need to do a bit different things to get it done. I have one problem left: The video file is me when i crashed with 94km/h with ski. the cam shot herself down instantly. the file is fine now until the last 30 seconds. it skips the video from 4:40 till the end...
is there a way to recover this 30 seconds? i'd like to see how i crashed

thanks everybody

Had you taken backup of that corrupt video before repairing? If yes, you can go for recovering those lost 30 seconds using “Video Repair Tools” utility, since it is 100% safe and read-only. Refer http://reince.org/tool-to-repair-video-file if you are interested to read more on this.

Hi guys, I have a serious problem...
I have no gopro but probably the same problem.

On the last weekend I flew with my drones and filmed the landscape.
After cutting the file from the SD card I noticed that the defect is.
So much to prehistory.

I have tried many programs, without success.(GetDataBack,File Repair,Undelete 360,Grau Video Repair,Phoenix Video Repair,VLC)
Then I first met as lesaer to you and have tried the scripts, even partially changed.
Unfortunately not with the desired result.
The original file could not be displayed by any player.
After the script shows a gray screen and small shreds of the video, but unusable.

I give you times the codec data from a functioning video.
Maybe you can help me.

I have a 321.9MB file that is corrupted. When I run it through the script I get "No frames found. Quitting. " - Is this file recoverable?
