For those who know how to use this .....

GoPro just open-sourced GPMF-parser, a tool for extracting and understanding GoPro telemetry metadata. Please visit

Yes, nice to see a good expalaination of why the embadded file instead of a separate file for data. Makes sense.

However, GoPro need to get their arse in gear with Dashware and/or better tools for rendering out high quality video with overlay.

I wonder how much data can be bought i via other Bluetooth? Would be nice if a BT ODB dongle could add engine telemetry etc. :-)

Yes...agree better rendering out in highest possible quality is needed.
Funny GoPro is, they bought Dashware and yet they are so slow to capitalize on it.

Bluetooth GPS I have, but Ihe data is 5hz at best ( Bad Elf ) and common GPS data. 10hz is minimum to produce those G forces I think, so GoPro 18hz better.

Vbox Sport performance meter is 20hz and lower end model is 10Hz.
Some new one I seen is 50hz..crazy.http://www.motodracing.com/motorcycle-gps-lap-timer

Bluetooth 5 ..supposedly double the bandwith of Bluetooth 4.0
https://www.bluetooth.com/specification ... bluetooth5

Bluetooth 4.0 25 Mbps ? Really ?
http://www.pcworld.com/article/208778/W ... emacy.html

But I am sure there is latency for the bluetooth itself. Receive X amount of engine data from engine sensors and transmit this GPS data to say a GoPro.
