I found a hidden link on the GoPro website to the GoProHD catalog and pre-production test footage.

Pre-ordered 3 of these the other noght, just got this response from GoPro regarding shipping times.

"The HD HERO cameras are expected to be in stock at the end of October, and will ship at that time."

Yes, it's awesome eh. GoPro should be making an announcement any day. These cams are going to revolutionize the industry, watch it explode.

The specs and performance are top notch now, the future functionality of the expansion port ..... brilliant.

here is what i did. i went to their website, and chose any product to add to my cart. if you look in the URL there is a section where it has the product ID. i replace that ID with the model number of the HD gopro from the catalog. then check out. quite a hack, but they haven't kicked back my order yet.

Soooo... does anybody have any concerns about buying one of the first few off of the production line? I've kinda always shy'ed away from first run production electronics until they work out all the little bugs that go along with turning out a brand new product. I am really not questioning GoPro's quality or their warranty system BUT I have also had ZERO problems with my Hero wide 5mp and thus have never contacted GoPro with an issue.

Wanting to pull the trigger like alatteri and do a pre-order (cause I am highly anticipating getting my hands on this HD camera), but this is my only concern. Anyone else got similar concerns?

Nope, because these guys have always stood behind their product. Sure people had issues with the very first models and the support line was hard to get a response from initially, but they replaced the units and improved the response in support. I'm very proud of what these guy's have done and believe they have an exceptional product, especially for the price and the mounts, waterproofing are industry best in their class.

Yes i have a sponsorship arrangement with them, but if i didn't believe in the product i would find another.
