i like how the numbers look "hand written" to imply how much of an estimate this is and could change.

the people i ordered from havent shipped yet, ive been told Nov 10 is when he gets them from GoPro, so soon after i should be expecting a tracking number.

Ay up! I got a confirmation of shipment email!!! :D

I'm in the low 41000s order numbers so maybe that's why they shipped so early (well, early...)

I'm across the water in old Irelandland so it may still take a while to get here... FedEx estimates 12th November...

Now. Any handy tips on how to avoid clicking the refresh button on the FedEx tracking site every 10 seconds?

Good luck!

Im so disapointed at gopro now. Got an email that my order wouldnt ship before the third week of november. Even though my ordernumber is lower than geeezers, and when the estemated shipping on the gopro website says that my order should be shipped within this week.

Now my plans for filming my activities on my vacation is ruined.. :(

Fingers are crossed Tommy...

Sorry to get all smug now but I just got mine today!!!

Feckin delighted! My wife says its crap and looks like it came out of a kinder egg, but then I did kind of blag her that it would be great for home movies and stuff. She did't really know it was another addition to my skating obsessions....

Anyway, stay sane you folks who're still waiting and post some videos when you get em!

PS the 'classless' SD card seems to work ok... I haven't taken any continuous shots over 2 0r 3 mins in full HD mode yet but seems ok.

My computer has difficulty playing back the movies though they play fine on TV...

Good luck!

Try the card with some high motion and longer time, that's good news.

Also for smooth playback of h.264 install the Core Professional Codec http://coreavc.com/ runs 30% less CPU power on low spec machines. PM me if you want it errrrrr.... cheap ;)

Tommy, I got confirmation on the 5th Nov for a Helmet hero and a couple of accessories

Stitoevox, I'll try to shoot a couple of movies if it stays dry tomorrow, I'm not as water proof as the camera...

Rambo, I tried PMing you about *ahem* codecs but I'm not sure if it worked...

My initial test shots in the house seemed grainy and obviously set to outdoor whitebalance. Sound is quiet too even with the non waterproof door. definitely suited to outdoors or Lots of light.

The wide angle is super wide and even in max resolution still looks sweet

PS any idea what the orange rubber thing that jams in the clip is for? apart from jamming in the clip...

Also the head strap can also double up as a "jock-strap Hero" for the stylish man about town...
