I would like to share with you a problem I encountered. I only had the camera a few months and found that it would stop recording after 5 minutes when I knew that the 2 gig SD card I was using had had the last movie deleted in fact I was having this problem with another card as well and thought there was a problem with the Camera to the point of having it checked out under warranty. The problem still persisted then checking the cards' on my Computer (Mac G5)
I eventually found the problem!!!! You see I use a card reader to download the recordings and then delete them BUT some times wasn't emptying the trash bin so the deleted files still remained on the SD card but in the trash, invisible I picked it up when getting Info on the SD card the blank card of 2gig only had 20k of free space.
So empty the trash or delete using the camera.
Cheers :)

Yep that will happen and is a major reason why people have short record problems. I recommend a reformat of the card each time you delete and ready the card for the next shoot. As I'm not a Mac user, not sure the proceedure to do this, but a clean card is always best.

I good program to have is Image Rescue from Lexar. It can pull lost files off a card but more important it can format your card with a clean erase.
