Only issue for me with the android app, was only view once camera at a time.

Sounds like the ability to view four cameras has been added.

I have a few other issue with the Android app as noted in the XA1 camera thread. I do hope they fix things because it would be really great to start all four recordings at nearly the same time. Anything easier than running around to start them all would be welcome.

In terms of video at this small sensor size 8MP is fine but why have a 16MP still mode if the sensor is only 8MP? they may as well have made it 16000000MP soooper doooper digital still mode

Because it tricks consumers into buying the product, that's why. This is standard JVC marketing, they do it on their professional cameras too where Sony and Ikegami are more matter of fact and tend to not stretch things too far (professional market only).

I'm pretty happy with the performance of the XA1, except audio as it gathers wind noise faster than any other camera I have used, but the images are pretty good and the colors are decent, so this XA2 might be a good camera. I still haven't found the source of the wind noise, it seems to come from every surface and echos through the chassis to the microphone. Think I need to apply more tape to try and smooth it out, I wonder if the waterproof deep dive housing is any better.
