What's better than a video of me?

Postby DaveTheYank on Tue Oct 13, 2009 3:12 am

I was watching the pre-production video samples of the new HD Hero, and I was impressed with the creative ways they had mounted the camera. In particular, one of the BASE jumping wingsuit maniacs had the camera on some sort of pole out in front of his helmet, facing toward him.

This guy, remember him?

Do any of you have an idea how this mount might work?

Thanks

Yeah Dave, it's only a short pole about 300 - 400mm. Other versions are pivoted on the helmet with a counter balance so that the camera will swing left to right. Search youtube for examples.

Rambo - Could a "rig" like this be built for the suction cup mount for the Motorsports Hero? Thinking this might give me some pretty cool angles that I can't currently achieve.

Oh, any pics or examples of what you are talking about?

THANKS in advance!
